You know, I've noticed that every time I say I won't be posting much, I find something to post about. I wonder why that happens.
Anyway, I haven't ranted about the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for a couple weeks, but they gave me a good reason today.
First of all, there's a dumb cartoon that isn't online yet, so I can't show it to you (unless I take a picture, which I don't feel like doing). Basically, it's George W. Bush saying "I've already made a memorial to Ronald Reagan," and Uncle Sam is standing behind him, imprisoned between 4 walls with a sign that says "Reagan-era Deficits," saying "Mr. Bush, tear down this wall." That's just wrong.
The main attraction today, however, is quite possibly the most paranoid letter to the editor I've ever seen. Let's take a look...
Terror spin?Just some quick questions: Who else thinks the news of the summer terrorist attacks is just administrative spin on more of the same?
Democratic Underground and Noam Chomsky?
Who else finds it peculiar that the stories come out on the heels of others reporting President Bush's "slipping" approval rate...
Holy crap, you are from Democratic Underground, aren't you? It's the exact same thing they say: "Isn't it strange how [insert any event here] happened just when Chimpy's approval ratings were starting to drop? I smell a conspiracy!"
...and still others that have prompted wide criticism of his re-packaged, "same ol', same ol' " plan for veiled, reverse colonialism in Iraq?
What the f**k is "reverse colonialism," you delusional nutbag? And furthermore, if it's veiled, how do you know about it? These people should not be allowed to vote.
Who else finds it particularly telling that Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge hasn't jumped the gun, as was the habit in the past, and raised this ludicrous threat-level scale a color toward red...
Maybe because it would prompt even more insane shrieking from moonbats like you?
...regardless of this seeming certainty that terrorists will strike while we swim languidly in blue pools?
"Look at me! I can juxtapose two colors! Give me a gold star, teacher! Oooh! Gold! That's three colors! I want a lollypop!!!!"
Who else is growing weary of the obvious tactic used by the Bush administration of spreading fear to drum up support for "the cause"?
I'd guess it's the same people who are still convinced that the Bush administration let 9/11 happen. There are real terrorists in the world, you know. Being a useful idiot for 'em won't save you.
The administration knows that a great many voters, believing violence is imminent, don't wish to change horses in midstream and risk drowning in hypothetical waters.
Whoopty-f**kin'-doo!!! You just proved absolutetly nothing. Hey, I know that my cats are afraid of the vacuum cleaner. It doesn't mean I'm going to threaten them with it.
Who else is "ready" not to fall for this again? Remember the run on duct tape?
You know, I think it's absolutely hilarious that these people are able to summon up enough cognitive dissonance to sustain life for more than a millisecond. I'm guessing this guy is one of the same people who think Bush didn't do enough to prevent 9/11. Just imagine what it would've been like if he'd done more...

BUSH: My fellow Americans, I've just learned that Osama bin Laden is planning to attack New York City sometime this fall. I've already added more security measures to airports, and I urge all of you to be on your highest...
MOONBAT: You liar! You're just trying to divert attention from the fact that you lost the election! I don't have to listen to your fearmongering! You're just trying to control us like the fascist you are!!!
(September 12, 2001)
MOONBAT: Why didn't you warn us about this? You must have LET IT HAPPEN! If you really cared about us, you would've done more to prevent terrorism!
(June 8, 2004)
BUSH: We've learned that Al Qaeda is planning to attack America this summer. I've taken every measure to prevent this from...
MOONBAT: You liar! You're just trying to distract us from your pitiful approval rating! I don't have to listen to your fearmongering!
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's a sad world we're living in.
Posted by CD on June 8, 2004 06:30 PMI've got it! Moonbats are really just regular joes that the VRWC created in order to strike fear in the hearts of all normal people! Their insanity makes conservatives seem downright decent! It's reverse fearmongering! AAAAHHHHH! Run!
