Well, at least he won't be runing as senator in my state again. But, i do know of at least two republicans, friends of mine, that said they would vote for Edwards because "He looked good." h looked good. WTF?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!
I don't care if it's Kate Beckinsale, i will not vote for someone based on their looks, even if she offered to sleep with everyone who voted for her. YEESH. Oh, by the way, Edwards is a Wanker. Wants a Free year of College for everyone. Where will this money come from? Gee, i guess Lileks won't be able to build another set of stairs. What if you don't want to go to college? I also have a friend who said she'd vote for Edwards because 'he's cute'. I'd like to know though if Kerry cancels out Edwards' "attractiveness"... Unfortunately, people really do vote based on that crap. Supposedly taller candidates have an edge too.

I thought the same thing about Edwards' "College for Everyone" plan. I'm pretty sure he'd fund it by rolling back "Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy," which somehow mysteriously helped the middle class as well. In any case, I also agree that not everybody should go to college. We might as well make it part of the public school system if the government is going to pay for it.

As for the "voting based on looks" thing, I really don't understand how anyone could possibly base their decision on the attractiveness of the candidate, but I guess some people really are that stupid.
