Does Anybody Know What This Man Believes?

Hilarious. Today's Daily Orange opinion section contains one editorial and one letter. Why is that hilarious, you ask?

Well, the editorial contains this line:

During his campaign, John Kerry has repeatedly promised Americans universal healthcare.

Meanwhile, the letter says this:

The "Anybody but Bush" attitude will prove to have devastating effects. "ABB" means that it is OK to support a candidate who is not in favor of universal healthcare...

So, to summarize: There are two opinion pieces side-by-side. One is criticizing Kerry for supporting universal healthcare, and the other is criticizing him for not supporting universal healthcare.

How did this idiot get nominated, anyway?

It doesn't mean that Kerry has no platform. It means that the average American voter is dumb as hell.

I thought this was rather clear -- that Kerry plans to extend government-funded healthcare from Congress to the rest of America. End of story.

Unfortunately, most people with an internet connection are either too stupid or too busy with porn to read these things. The informed voter is slowly becoming extinct, and it's working against Kerry because he makes too much sense.
