I would just like to announce that it is currently 7:20 AM (E.S.T.), and I am just now getting ready to go to sleep.
Thank you for your time.
UPDATE
Man, these throwaway posts get a lot of comments. I should start a freakin' LiveJournal.
UPDATE THE SECOND
Apparently, this has turned into an open thread, so...discuss.
Did I read that right? WOW!
I've been up since then, and will soon embark on hours of present-wrapping.
Well, CD, I'd tell you that I learned a few hard lessons about keeping a good sleep cycle when I was about your age, but I'd expect you to say the same thing to me that I said to the guys that told me the same thing back then:
"Piss off, eh. I'm on freakin' vacation."
Don't say this 26-year-old codger didn't warn you. It'll catch up when you get old and frail.
P.S.- Obviously, in addition to cooking us dinner, Katherine got us presents too. Katherine is keen.
P.P.S.- Wow, that first line is about the worst run-on sentence I've ever written.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 11:22 AMWhoa there. Sorry to disappoint, but I made cookies, not dinner. :) They're good though, time consuming, but good - and plenty to share.
Posted by: Katherine at December 23, 2004 02:40 PMBut CD already offered me a cookie. I'm still waiting for it. And my glass of milk.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 02:53 PMPsh. A cookie. I made well over 200, I could give you a whole slew of cookies.
Posted by: Katherine at December 23, 2004 03:56 PMJust because I know I should keep a good sleep cycle doesn't mean I will.
And yes, I did just get out of bed 5 minutes ago. There's nothing like waking up to the sound of your mother calling you for dinner. Heh heh.
Also, I'd be happy to take a few of those cookies off your hands, Katherine.
Posted by: CD at December 23, 2004 04:17 PMShoot, I'll take as many as you wanna send me, but I won't vouch for the powers-that-be getting them to Honduras before they go bad.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 06:05 PMNo. No LiveJournal for you. That is something the likes of me would do. You have talent and express yourself well.
Posted by: Katherine at December 23, 2004 06:47 PMHmm. I notice she didn't answer about sending us the cookies. Odd.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 07:21 PMBut that might ruin the surprise when they arrive! ... :-X Oops.
::wonders why shes basically having a conversation with NCO guy here instead of on his blog::
Posted by: Katherine at December 23, 2004 08:01 PMUm, you would probably need my address. Maybe.
Hey, we can have conversations in two places at once. You can go start one at my blog... I'm actually kinda irritated that I had a good ol' double-rant about the Washington election, and nobody's seemed to notice... blatant blog pimping...
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 08:49 PMOdd. As I was commenting at SIT, CD was commenting over there.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 08:53 PMHey CD, since we're doing the whole "random comment" thing, what happened to your guestmap? I wanted to add Honduras to it, but it's AWOL.
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 23, 2004 09:57 PMI have a random question... am I the only girl who comments here, at least regularly? Just curious.
Posted by: Katherine at December 23, 2004 10:48 PMNCO Guy: Bravenet terminated my account (although they still send me useless newsletters), so the guestmap disappeared. I guess I only signed up for a certain amount of time or something.
Katherine: Yes. There used to be more female commenters, but I have no idea where they went.
Posted by: CD at December 23, 2004 10:52 PMHm.. I still need to add you to my facebook thing one of these days.
Posted by: Katherine at December 24, 2004 12:14 AMSince I only have 13 friends listed (including people at other schools), that would be nice.
Posted by: CD at December 24, 2004 12:25 AMOh yeah, and elsewhere in the random comments department, what happened to Tommy? He hasn't said anything around here in a while.
Posted by: CD at December 24, 2004 12:26 AMHey.. you've got me beat. I have 4 friends.
Posted by: Katherine at December 24, 2004 12:33 AMTwentieth!
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 24, 2004 12:06 PMWhat's the record?
Posted by: Katherine at December 24, 2004 12:20 PMI'm sure CD could answer that, but he's probably asleep.
Hey, the site meter says 30,000. Does that make me 30,001?
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 24, 2004 03:08 PMActually, the record is 23. So...next comment wins! Although we all got cookies already, so I'm not sure what the prize is.
Posted by: CD at December 24, 2004 03:22 PMHooray! I'm a winner!
Posted by: Army NCO Guy at December 24, 2004 03:27 PM25! ... Just because I like nice pretty numbers like that.
26 because i'm a pain. The short story for my absence is "i was working and doing christmas shopping and sleeping."
:-D
And all this without Swiss Cake Rolls.
So Tommy, what'd you buy everyone? I baked cookies...
Posted by: Katherine at December 24, 2004 11:58 PMYou know, when CD threw out the phrase "open thread", I really had to resist the urge to scream "Swiss Cake Rolls!!!"
...my access to tasty snack cakes has been severed. I don't know if Hondurans have ever heard of them. :(
