Question of the Day

Is it just my imagination, or have the grammatical standards of the blogosphere gone way down in the past couple months? I'm finding errors in practically every post and comment I read these days.

Learn how to use the English language, people!!!

Were there even standards to begin with?

CD, don't you mean "the past couple OF months?"

That's what we call "cherry picking," BD.

Or irony.

It's all good, man. I know I make my fair share of errors, like everyone else. But I would be extra careful not to make an error in a post criticizing the profusion of errors in the blogosphere.

The thing is, I've always thought that blogs weren't meant to be formal. Informal, speech-like modes of writing not only work in the blogosphere, they probably work best.

Anyway, I can't wait for the GTOL. They've been aggressively supplying you with material lately.
