Question of the Upcoming Time Period

HOLY SHITTING FUCK! A NEW POST! WHAT COULD THIS SHOCKING DEVELOPMENT POSSIBLY MEAN?!?!

Well, don't get too excited just yet. I'm just dropping in to mention that I have not, in fact, given up on blogging. I actually have a few things I'd like to say, but I can't really find the motivation, and my life still isn't interesting enough to fill in the gaps between commentary posts like I want it to.

However, I promise to start blogging regularly again once I've figured out my situation and gotten settled into wherever it is I end up in the next few months. I just don't know when that's going to be.

In the meantime, maybe someone can help me solve a conundrum I've been pondering for quite a while.

Consider these facts:

- Liberals have a majority in Congress
- The next president will probably be a liberal
- The majority of journalists are liberal
- The majority of college professors are liberal
- The majority of entertainment celebrities are liberal
- The majority of so-called "intellectuals" are liberal

Given all this, why is it that liberals still insist on calling themselves "anti-establishment?" It strikes me as more than a bit dishonest...

UPDATE
Also, September 25th marked the 4th blogiversary of Semi-Intelligent Thoughts. And frankly, I'm embarrassed to read quite a few of the older entries (partially for reasons that I'll explain later). My thought process has matured so much, and yet, I still have so much to learn.

Hopefully, you'll all join me when the journey continues.
