Posted by: CD at February 15, 2004 02:51 PMThe electoral college is the only thing that keeps candidates from dealing with (i.e., sucking up to) just the areas of the country with the highest population -- primarily New York and California. Without the electoral college, votes cast in the rest of the country simply don't count. This, of course, is EXACTLY what Liberals want, because it's how they think of America anyway (when they can think of at it without shuddering in disgust, that is).
