Something has been on my mind for the past few hours, and I figured I would blog about it. This may or may not be interesting.
Almost everyone is familiar with the custom of using "Xmas" to mean "Christmas," right? Evidently, the X stands for "Christ." However, I've recently noticed people referring to Christians as "Xtians," and I think quite a few are referring to Christina Aguilera as "Xtina." For some reason, it seems that the T is no longer included in the X equation.
Confused yet?
Anyway, here's what I'm thinking: If the X now stands for "Chris," and not "Christ," does that mean I can start calling myself "Xtopher?" Or maybe just "X" for short?
...You know, I think I'm going to stick with "CD" for now.
Posted by CD on June 23, 2004 11:12 PMThat is the first time I have ever seen "Xtians" or "Xtina".
But, "X" can also stand in for "trans".. transmit -> xmit. ::shrug:: I guess it really is a true variable.
Dude, X would be a cool name. Except for the possible trans connotation, that might be.
:-D
Heh. "Transtopher." Sounds like a gay vampire or something.
